There Are Many Ways to Enter
You may have arrived with a question.
A transition.
A curiosity.
Something you are trying to understand.
Something you are trying to create.
Something that needs care.
Or perhaps you simply encountered an idea here that made you want to stay a little longer.
You do not need to understand the whole ecosystem before entering it.
Begin with what is calling your attention.
An Afro-Centric Orientation to Human Development and Collective Flourishing
A3R is grounded in Afro-Centric ways of knowing, being, and relating and organized around four recurring movements:
Awakening · Reclaiming · Reweaving · Regenerating
It invites us to attend to human development not as an exclusively individual undertaking, but within the relationships, histories, communities, places, spiritual realities, and living worlds through which we become.
A3R is Afro-Centric in its grounding, universal in its invitation, relational in its orientation, participatory in its practice, developmental in its movement, and regenerative in its aspiration.
It is an invitation to become more fully human together.
There are different ways to enter and participate in the A3R ecosystem.
You do not need to follow them in sequence.
Begin where your curiosity, questions, or life are drawing you.
My work has taken me through ministry, chaplaincy, clinical pastoral education, teaching, scholarship and research, executive coaching, organizational consulting, reflective supervision, spiritual direction, mediation, facilitation, and organizational leadership. Across these different expressions of my life and work, I remain drawn to the human condition and to a persistent question: What helps us become more fully human—together? I describe my vocation as Engineer of Souls and my relationship to A3R as its creator and steward.
May your questions be honored.
May your curiosity be welcomed.
May your relationships deepen.
May your participation contribute to your flourishing and that of others.
Welcome.
BEGIN WHERE YOU ARE
The conversation continues.
